Bundesverband der Altholzaufbereiter und -verwerter | German Waste Wood Association
The BAV is the leading trade association of the waste wood industry. It represents the political, economic and technical interests of 103 members.
Forum for the exchange of facts and opinions
At the heart of the association are the association’s internal technical committees and working groups. Here the members compile technical statements and expertises to current topics like e.g. the forthcoming amendment of the old wood regulation.
Network service provider for business, science and politics
The association offers various networking events to bring together the players of the waste wood industry from business, science and politics. In particular, the annual Old Timber Day with its internal association event on the eve of the event has developed into an important industry meeting place. Twice a year, the general meeting also takes place with convivial member evenings.
The association as a communicator for a strong industry
The waste wood industry is a pioneer in Germany in the areas of recycling management, resource and climate protection. The FOT provides important information to politicians and the general public (BAV image brochure). The BAV regularly brings politicians and companies together through visits by members of parliament.
